Summer Camps at Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville

Ready for a summer of imagination? At Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville, we believe that the smallest scientists can make the biggest discoveries. Our 2026 summer camps are designed specifically for early learners—from rising Pre-K students to 2nd graders.

Located in the heart of Huntersville, our camps combine the magic of our children’s museum (including the famous Fire Truck and Grocery Store!) with structured STEM activities. Whether your child is digging for dinosaurs, cooking up chemistry in the kitchen, or training to be a superhero, they will build confidence and social skills in a safe, play-based environment.

Why Parents Choose Discovery Place Kids

Learning Through Play

We know that young children learn best when they are having fun. Our “I CAN” philosophy encourages campers to try new things, from acting out stories on our stage to conducting their first chemistry experiment.

Small & Supportive

Our counselor-to-camper ratios are kept low to ensure our youngest campers get the attention, help, and encouragement they need—whether it’s opening a snack or navigating a new friendship.

Convenient Huntersville Location

Located right off Gilead Road, we are the convenient choice for families in Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, and North Charlotte.

Frequently Asked Questions (Huntersville)

Q: What is the age requirement for Pre-K?
A: Campers must be rising Pre-K students (typically age 4 by the start of camp) and must be fully potty trained to attend.

Q: Do campers get to play in the Museum?
A: Absolutely! Camp days include supervised exploration time in our museum exhibits, allowing campers to shop in the market, work in the auto shop, and splash at the water table.

Q: Is lunch provided?
A: Please pack a nut-free lunch and two snacks for your camper each day. We focus on keeping their energy up for a full day of play!
