Buses should enter via Old Statesville Rd and unload students by the Learning Garden. After your field trip, buses will pick up students at the rear of the Museum and exit via Gilead Rd. Due to height restrictions, parking is unavailable on-site in our parking deck. However, buses can park for free at Veterans Park or North Mecklenburg Park. One adult chaperone is required for every 5 students and admitted to the Museum for free. Additional chaperones will be charged the fees notated in the chart above. To ensure the safety of all students, chaperones must stay with their group at all times. Due to space limitations, extra chaperones may be unable to attend class programs. In order to provide a safe environment, we will be forced to turn away groups who do not have the required chaperone-to-student ratio.

Buses should enter from the Old Statesville Road entrance and pull into the loading zone area adjacent to the building to unload students. Buses can park, for free, at North Mecklenburg Park or Veterans Park (any lot, any space and only a 5-minute drive from the Museum). Cars and other standard-size vehicles can park, for free, in the Huntersville Parking Deck (located directly behind the Museum, also accessible from either Gilead Rd. or Old Statesville Rd.)
