Our Juneteenth Celebration is an exciting event with engaging activities perfect for the whole family. It’s a joyful blend of education, entertainment and cultural enrichment. Discover remarkable individuals through an enlightening scavenger hunt and educational bingo. Members can enjoy an exclusive Drums for Life performance. Our celebration harmoniously blends education and fun.
Activities include:
- 8:30 am-9:30 am: Drums for Life Drumming and Dance Show at Town Hall Stage (Members Only – Click here for Members Tickets)
- 10:00 am: Cooking Demonstration – Learn traditional recipes and their cultural significance.
- 11:00 am: Storytime featuring All Different Now: Juneteenth, the First Day of Freedom at Town Hall Stage
- Noon: Cooking Demonstration in the Town Market – Prepare cultural dishes, exploring origins and nutrition.
- 2:00 pm : Juneteenth Bingo – Join us and learn about pioneering individuals who shaped our world today.
- All Day: Drum-Making Activity – Create your drum to celebrate musically.
- All Day: Community Tree – Design and decorate a portion collectively.
- All Day: Scavenger Hunt – Explore the Museum, learning Juneteenth’s importance.
