July Kids Activities at Discovery Place Kids – Huntersville

Looking for indoor kids activities in Huntersville this month? Discovery Place Kids – Huntersville is the perfect place for families to explore, play and learn together. From science shows to story time, every visit is filled with hands-on fun for kids of all ages.

All museum events and activities are free with admission.

July Theme: Under the Sea: Get ready to dive deep into discovery with an Under the Sea month, a journey through the seas and the fascinating life within. Throughout the month we will explore a different aspect of the sea, from the creatures that crawl along the ocean floor to the mysteries of the deep sea.

Fourth of July!
Escape the heat and celebrate the Fourth with a fun Storytime and activity to learn all about Betsy Ross!

Messy Member Morning: Beach Erosion Adventure
During member hour: 8:30-9:30
Become an ocean scientist and discover how waves can change a beach! Build your own sandy shoreline with rocks and shells, then create waves to watch how water moves sand and reshapes the coast. Can you find a way to protect your beach from the power of the ocean? Dive in and investigate!

Puppet Show | 9:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.
July Show: The Shell Games: Visit the wonderful world of Miranda the Mermaid and her underwater friends. Join them on this fun-filled adventure as they explore the wonders of the ocean! 

Science Show | 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.  
Join us at the Town Hall all month for an adventure in science. Predict, observe, and experiment with different topics.  From color-mixing to chemical reactions, our Science Show is sure to instill curiosity in our little scientist.  

Under the Sea Storytime | 11:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.
Join us for Storytime as we ready some of our favorites from under the sea!

Big Fun is the time of the day when children and adults move and groove to three of our favorite songs. Put your dancing shoes on and join us for this daily dance party!

Join us in I CAN Create this month as we see how talented we can be. Little artists can stop by anytime to paint, color, build or draw a masterpiece.
