Join us for hands-on activities and exciting demonstrations as we learn how weather shapes our world!
Special Programs
June 1 – 9: Severe Weather Science: Let’s explore the science behind lightning and thunder! Kids will get hands-on with a Van de Graaff machine to see how static electricity works and discover what causes nature’s loudest booms.
Story time (11:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.): A Party for Clouds: Thunderstorms by Belinda Jensen
June 10 – 16: Hurricane Science: Dive into the swirling world of hurricanes as we create our very own storm in a bowl! Kids will learn how these powerful storms form and what makes them spin, all through a fun hands-on experiment.
Story time (11:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.): Drop: An Adventure Through the Water Cycle by Emily Kate Moon
June 17 – 23: Wild Winds: In this tornado engineering challenge, kids will design and build structures with boxes – then put them to the test to see if they can stand strong against the winds. Can your building pass the test?

June 24 – 30: Sun Science: Discovery the sunny side of science as we explore how rainbows are made! Kids will learn about light and color, create their own rainbow, and make a beautiful suncatcher craft to take home and brighten any window!
