Get ready for an exciting journey into formal education! Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville proudly presents Countdown to Kindergarten, a FREE community-wide event celebrating your child’s entrance into kindergarten.

Location: Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville
Your soon-to-be kindergartner and family will enjoy meeting local kindergarten teachers, engaging in hands-on interactive exhibits and participating in skill-building activities while networking with community partners.

- Public safety demonstrations with Huntersville police
- CMS academics workshop

- Storytime with the Public Library: Practice lining up and enjoy engaging stories
- Bach to Rock Performance: Rock out on our main stage
- Fun Fitness with Coach Terry: Get moving and grooving
- CMS Cafeteria Practice: Learn lunchroom skills like carrying trays and opening milk cartons
- Scissor Safety and Cutting Center: Develop fine motor skills
- Photo Opportunities: Capture memories with graduation hats, gowns and custom signs
