Theme: Storybook Fun: This month, we’re diving into the world of Storybook Fun at Discovery Place Kids – Huntersville! Join us as we explore classic tales and the magic of storytelling through interactive crafts and hands-on activities. Get ready for a month filled with magic, fun, and unforgettable stories!
Special Programs
March 4 – March 9: Rhyme Time: Discover the magic of poetry through catchy rhymes and silly sounds! After reading “Sheep in a Jeep” by Nancy Shaw and Margot Apple, we will create our own silly rhyming stories!
March 11 – March 16: The Three Little Pigs: Get ready for a hilarious twist on the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs: as told by The Big Bad Wolf! We will read “The True Story of The Three Little Pigs” by Jon Scieskca and children will have a chance to build their own versions of the three little pig’s houses.
March 18 – March 23: Becoming Me: Join us for a reading of “I am Jane Goodall” by Brad Meltzer and explore the life of an awesome scientist. Children will learn about biographies and autobiographies, then create their own autobiography pages to share their own unique story!
March 25 – March 30: Fairy Tale Fiasco: Step into a fairy tale like no other in “The Great Fairy Tale Disaster” by David Conway. After reading, we will explore the common elements of fairy tales and then children will get to create their very own castle craft to take home.

Storybook Ball! Celebrate the magic of stories at our Storybook Ball, an evening where literature comes to life! Enjoy a night of creativity, imagination, and community as we bring beloved books off the page and into an immersive experience. Explore beloved classics and new favorites, with interactive activity stations, character meet-and-greets, and live performances!

Puppet Show (9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.)
Three Little Pigs: Come with us to see the adventures of Percy, Peter and Peggy Sue building their homes and take on the Big Bad Wolf.
Science Show (10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.)
Join us at the Town Hall all month for an adventure in science. Predict, observe and experiment with different topics. From color-mixing to chemical reactions, our Science Show is sure to instill curiosity in our little scientist.
Story Time (11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.)
Join us for story time as we read some of our favorites:

Big Fun (15 minutes before closing)
Big Fun is the time of the day when children and adults move and groove to three of our favorite songs. Put your dancing shoes on and join us for this daily dance party!
I CAN Create (All day)
Join us in I CAN Create this month as we see how talented we can be. Little artists can stop by anytime to paint, color, build or draw a masterpiece.
